Probably you were one those millions that at one point in time went to the movies and watched the Lord of The Rings trilogy. To some people you even had the nerve of sometimes pretend that you read them all. Nobody did. Some guy tought that we were not getting the voice of the oppressed. The thousands (perhaps millions) that ended up giving their lifes for what they believed in. Martyrs of Mordor. Here's a book, a black swan that tell the untold and gives voice to the unheard.

I don't know how i came across this writer dude that told stories .. but i'm so glad i did it. I'm pretty sure that in the begining there was one book. New York Trilogy. I got stuck inside since the very first day. I have this strange relaionship with Auster's books. They mean something to me only if i can reand them from start to finish in one go. If you stop it's something of a Coitus Interrruptus. Not nice. Not desirable. So if i stop .. i never return. Not in the next hours, days or months. Once again i have to get prepared to be dazzled by this guy and save up some time for an intense reading. In spite of this .. i've managed to finish a few of his books. In fact i haven't finished only 2. The first one is Oracle Night. One of my very favourite books ..altough i never finished it. I read it while a friend of mine was shopping around Lisbon. Girls can and will spend a lot of time shopping ...and i was more than happy to say "My God ... You look absolutely gorgeous!" from time to time. At the end of the day ... i had 30 pages left and a friend with an added10Kgs to her personal closet. Oracle Night. You should read all the books this man wrote. You should ... not to say you must.

Outro dia surgiu uma frase que relacionei com tantas outras coisas... No seguimento de um leve esquizofrenismo decidi passar a acções. Uma delas passa por transcrever para este pequeno blog de estórias e vidas os contos do livro "El Porque de las Cosas" de Quim Monzó. Antes de mais a frase era e é : Some things are better off unfinished. Marcou-me. Desde pequeno que penso em inglês daí muitas vezes estas coisas sairem assim, disconexas, numa lingua que não a materna. Isto é explicado por Freud com duas ou três orgias e uma pila de lagarto virgem que que vi numa sopa de nabos tinha eu 12 anos. E com a frase eu estou a referir-me a uma música que após os 3 minutos em que se faz ouvir, continua a viver em cada um de nós... pensamentos, interrogações. Lura , Oracle Night , São Martinho do Porto. Exemplos vivos do better off unfinished. Sempre com mais uma perninha para crescer .. um olhinho para revirar. O livro do Quim é composto por uma dezena e uns pózinhos de contos. Contos de encontros e frustrações. Pequenos nadas e grandiosos tudos. O primeiro capitulo se llama : La Honestidad.

Vou tentar que cada conto venha acompanhado por um quadro a condizer e que tenha algo (ainda que ténue) a ver com o que é escrito. Assim, silêncio que se vai cantar o fado.
